Green Juice with Ginger and Lime

4.8(630 ratings)

Many green juices taste either like lawn clippings or like apple juice with a green tint. This one lands in between, with kale and celery for depth, green apple and orange for enough sweetness, and a generous amount of ginger and lime for bite. Make it early in the week and keep the bottles cold for easy grab-and-go mornings.

Method

  1. Step 1: Wash all the produce, peel the orange and limes, keeping a few lime wedges for serving, and cut everything into pieces that fit the juicer.

  2. Step 2: Juice the kale and parsley sandwiched between cucumber chunks, so the moisture from the cucumber carries the leaves through the machine.

  3. Step 3: Juice the celery, green apples, orange, limes and ginger, then stir the combined juice thoroughly in a large jug.

  4. Step 4: Taste and add more lime for sharpness or another apple if it is too bitter, then pour into three bottles filled to the top.

  5. Step 5: Seal and refrigerate for up to two days, and serve cold with a lime wedge and a coin of fresh ginger alongside.
