Here's an easy recipe for an amazing green smoothie that will keep you empowered during the day and strengthen your health. This raw vegan recipe features kale, strawberries, spirulina, cacao nibs, raw cashews, almonds and walnuts, apple, banana and orange. All that goodness in one easy blended drink, and it tastes so good too!
3 large leaves of kale, torn and folded
5 strawberries, sliced
1 tsp dried spirulina
1 tsp raw cacao nibs
1 tbsp raw cashews *
1 tbsp raw almonds *
1 tbsp raw walnuts
1 apple, sliced
1 apricot, pitted and sliced
1 banana, peeled
1 medium orange, peeled
Purified water, young Thai coconut water, or fresh juice as liquid for blending.
(1) Prepare ingredients as indicated above, then place in your blender.
(2) Blend until smooth.
(3) Pour into a serving glass.
(4) Add a bit more liquid to the blender to rinse. Then shake and pour into the same serving glass, mixing well with a spoon.
* Store bought versions of these ingredients are often not raw, so you may need to purchase them at an online specialty store to make a fully raw smoothie.
